IT Minister Inaugurated Visalandhra Book Exhibition on Saturday
The 21st Visalandhra Book Exhibition has returned to the city after a brief hiatus of almost two years, on Saturday at Turner's Choultry, IT Minister Gudivada Amarnath and CPI Assistant Secretary J.V. The 21st Visalandhra Book Exhibition has returned to the city after a brief hiatus of almost two years, on Saturday at Turner's Choultry, IT Minister Gudivada Amarnath and CPI Assistant Secretary J.V. Satyanarayana Murthy opened the renowned book fair to the general audience. P. Mythili, the hospital's director, was in attendance.
Mr. Amarnath stated during the opening that such book displays would help advance knowledge. Mr. Amarnath praised Visalandhra's efforts while recalling how he used to read several books during the fair. Mr. Satyanarayana Murthy has asked IT Minister G Amarnath to provide Visalandhra with a modest area within the VMRDA building for a little fee.
He also recalled that Visalandhra received the "YSR Jeevitha Safalya Award" for its contributions to literature. The doctor remembered her connection to Visalandhra.
The expo organizers reported that there was a substantial selection of books available, including works of fiction, children's literature, travel memoirs, self-help books, cookbooks, mythology, fantasy, and science fiction. Additionally, they announced that on Monday, in honor of Children's Day, children's books will be discounted by 10% to 20%.
